Giancarlo del Monaco, figlio del grande tenore Mario e regista di fama internazionale, contemporaneamente all’attività teatrale terrà una serie di masterclasses in vari Paesi a partire dal prossimo febbraio. Il primo appuntamento sarà a Roma, dove nell’Aula Magna della Facoltà Valdese di Teologia, nella centralissima Via Pietro Cossa, il primo gruppo di Candidati avrà l’opportunità di operare fianco a fianco con uno dei massimi esperti dell’arte scenica e del canto lirico, potendo attingere preziosi consigli maturati in quasi sessant’anni di carriera. Tre giorni di intenso lavoro che si concluderanno il 5 febbraio con il concerto pubblico dei partecipanti alle ore 18.00. La seconda tappa sarà a Madrid nei giorni dal 9 al 14 febbraio, per poi toccare altre città europee ed extraeuropee. Dato il valore didattico, le masterclasses potranno essere seguite anche online, per renderle fruibili a chiunque non abbia possibilità di raggiungere il Maestro in presenza o per i semplici appassionati.
Maestro Giancarlo del Monaco, the son of the great tenor Mario del Monaco and Internationally renowned director, will be holding a series of Masterclasses in various countries starting from February this year in addition to his theater work.The first Masterclass will take place in Rome, in the Aula Magna of the Waldensian Faculty of Theology, in the centrally located Via Pietro Cossa. The first group of Candidates will have the opportunity to work side by side with one of the greatest experts in the art of the stage and Opera singing. The Candidates will have a chance to be guided to draw on valuble advise that has matured over almost sixty years of career. Three days of intense work that will end on February 5th with a public concert sung by the Participants at 6.00 pm. The second Masterclass will take place in Madrid from Feburay 9th to 14th, and will be coutinued in other European and non-European cities.Due to the educational value, the masterclasses will also be available online in order to make them accessible to all those who can not reach the Maestro in person or for mere enthusiasts.
